Transatlantic crossing of the Bordeaux 60 Saudade: 2 crew members, 11 days and some great souvenirs.

Message sent by José, owner of Saudade:
"January 21, 2012 - St Martin, Anse Marcel - Position: 18°06,98’N – 63°02,49’W
We arrived at mooring in the night (as usually) from Friday and Saturday, to the Anse Marcel that is on St Martin North-West coast.

Our crossing was finishing after 2118 miles sailed in 11 days and 10 hours, with an average speed of 7.73 knots. We had some minor technical problems, anyway usual on new boats, but they all were taken charge by the CNB customer service team who helped and advised us and took the required means to repair the boat since we arrived to the Fort Louis marina. I really thanks the team for her efficacity.
We also thank all the persons who sent us messages after having read our log. We had a real pleasure to read them. We would have liked the possibility to answer them, but it was too complex with the logistic. We will have the opportunity to share with you during our coming meetings.
Finally I want to congratulate Daniel, my team co-member who, thanks to his progress, is no more a simple "ship´s boy"."

Saudade will spend the winter in Carribeans, before sailing back to Mediterranean Sea where whe will take part to the CNB Yachts Rendez-Vous in Bonifacio, scheduled in June 15, 16 and 17, 2012.

Airness, a Bordeaux 60 yacht in the Philippines: testimonial of the owner 01/11

Airness, a Bordeaux 60 yacht in the Philippines: testimonial of the owner

01/11/2012

Stephan, the recent and happy Bordeaux 60 Airness owner in Hong Kong, was sailing last November around the wonderful Pamalican Island in the Philippines (Sulu Sea).

An ideal cruising condition with 20 kts of wind, flat seas and a 9.5 to 10.5 kts sailing speed.
A truly heavenly part of the world after a rather bumpy crossing from Hong Kong.
Stephan tells to us: “the Bordeaux 60 was so easy to handle and the sound of her shooting though the water was rather addictive. On the way to the Philippines, we hit a rather strong Monsoon for 36 hours with winds topping 60 kts! I am happy to report that she came through this “stress test” absolutely unscarred and suffered not one bit of damage. Her seaworthiness is proven beyond doubt and I am proud to be the owner of such a fabulous yacht.”

Thanks to Stephan for his testimonial and pictures.
