The owners of CNB 76 No. 08 opted to have the hull painted metallic grey.

A paint booth was set up around the boat for this operation, which lasted two months.

The happy owners came to the yard to admire the result, and we can now say that they share our opinion: the result is magnificent!

But many others will also have the pleasure of coming to admire this superb hull as the boat will be exhibited at Nautic in Paris from 5 to 13 December 2015 and then at Boot Düsseldorf from23 to 31 January 2016.

Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2015 10/12

Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2015

10/12/2015

As they do every year, for one week the residents of St Tropez hosted the world’s best-known Mediterranean regatta: Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez.

This year, the prestigious event, held from 26 September to 4 October, experienced some disruption. In fact, the weather conditions resulted in the cancellation of the races scheduled for the Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as the CNB Day Sail originally scheduled for Thursday 1 October.

The bad weather did not put everyone off, and many of them went out to cross swords in the Gulf of St Tropez. In the end this year, of the CNBs entered in the regatta, it was the Bordeaux 60 Althane that was on the podium at the end of the week, ahead of Kismet, Nina and Vaïnato.

An intrepid swimming photographer captured some evocative images this week. Photos that the crews were able to admire at the CNB cocktail party held at the luxurious Hôtel de Paris.

This year, 11 CNB boats were present at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez:

- Aloha (CNB 77)

- Althane (Bordeaux 60)

- Kismet (Bordeaux 60)

- Léo (CNB 76)

- Neyina (CNB 76)

- Nina (Bordeaux 60)

- Paikea (Bordeaux 60)

- Sookie B (Bordeaux 60)

- Tupai (Bordeaux 60)

- Vaïnato (CNB 64)

- Wink (CNB 76)

CNB yachts race throughout the world

A few weeks before Les Voiles de St Tropez, and on the other side of the world, new owners have also proved the seagoing qualities of their CNB yacht, both comfortable and powerful.

We have just received the latest issue of the Australian magazine SAILS, which reports on one of the major Australian regattas, Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, which took place in August.

The front cover is devoted to the Bordeaux 60 Platinum, which attended the event and caused a sensation. So much so that Platinum was awarded the event’s "Prix d’Elegance"!

The owner of Platinum, a Bordeaux 60 delivered to Melbourne in June 2015, decided to start getting to know his boat by going up against the 27 yachts in the regatta’s largest division, “cruising yachts with spinnaker”.

The Bordeaux 60 came 4th in its division, which certainly encouraged the owner to continue racing, between two family cruises…

Congratulations to Platinum and her crew on this excellent performance.
