Christening of CNB 76 #16: Aenea
The shipyard's activity does not slow down, even in winter! Following the delivery of the CNB 76 #15 last November to Japan, #16 has just been delivered to her Dutch owner on February 15th following successful sea trials.
The christening ceremony, a big event for any boat owner, took place in Bordeaux with the family. The crew took possession of "Aenea" and for their first voyage navigated to La Rochelle harbour. This palindromic name is taken from Eneas, a Trojan hero, the son of the prince Anchises and Aphrodite, goddess of love.
In early March, Aenea will sail to Mediterranean waters to spend the summer family cruising. It will start around the Balearics in May, and end in October at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez.
In November, Aenea will leave the Med and she will cross the Atlantic to spend the winter in the Caribbean.
The whole CNB Yacht Builders team is proud of this new yacht and wishes fair wind to the crew.
